I’m Mohammad Nasiruddin received my B. Sc. (Engg) and M. Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering fromDarul Ihsan University andUniversity of Asia Pacific in 2008 and 2011 respectively.
Currently, I am a PhD Student in Université Joseph Fourier and a Researcher at GETALP (Groupe d’Étude en Traduction Automatique/Traitement Automatisé des Langues et de la Parole) of Laboratoire d’Informatique de Grenoble (LIG)– under the supervision of Dr. Hervé Blanchon and Dr. Didier Schwab.
Research topic that involves improving Natural Language Processing always excites me. My research interests include WSD, MT, and under-resourced languages.
My other research interest is Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR).

Currently, I’m working on a subject around the Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD) for under-resourced languages and towards the improvement of Machine Translation (MT). The basic idea is to work specifically on Bangla/Bengali (and certainly with and around other languages) on:
– collecting data (Bangla and other languagescorpus/wordnet) thanks to Crowdsourcing (process that involves outsourcing tasks to a distributed group of people), Games With A Purpose (GWAP)(human-based computation technique in which a computational process performs its function by outsourcing certain steps to humans in an entertaining way), etc. for instance
– integrating, improving, and/or creating new WSD tools (Supervised, Unsupervised methods) with Ant Colony Algorithms (ACA), Conceptual Vectors, …
– integrating these techniques with MT tools already developed in the team
– and other applications …
