[:en]Time to reflect on the CSCL 2015 conference[:]

[:en]From June 7-11 was held in Gothenburg, Sweden, the 11th International Conference on Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning. As it was the first conference I ever attended, I figured out it was a great opportunity to start up writing on this blog.

I attended the conference because I had a paper accepted and the least I can say is that my presentation wasn’t great. It was only after the session was over that I realised how pluridisciplinar the CSCL conference really is. The way I conducted the presentation, and even more importantly the interactive sessions, can only be qualified by poor. The audience just heard what it wanted to hear and I didn’t adjust my speech to clarify my purpose and set the boundaries of my work. Eventually, it probably ended up creating more confusion on what I am really working on than anything else.

However, this unfortunate experience is still experience and I am already thinking of a lot of ways to better introduce my second paper at the European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning (ECTEL). Except that, I had the chance to meet great people whom are really inspired in what they do. I can only hope to meet them again later on![:]
