The objective is to produce standardized, interoperable <strong>Spatio-Temporal Knowledge Graphs (ST-KGs)<\/strong> that comply with <strong>FAIR principles<\/strong>, ensuring their accessibility and reusability, particularly by <strong>digital twins<\/strong> or <strong>predictive artificial intelligence programs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>GEvoK is structured around two case studies related to the issue of territorial, land use and land cover changes, involving different types of geographic data in order to ensure the genericity of the approach:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The transformation of urban structures in urban areas such as Grenoble in relation to the effects of public urban planning policies.<\/li>\n<li>Changes in the vegetation of mountain pastures in the Vercors Massif, areas impacted by global warming and human activity.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In the first case, we will analyze <strong>vector-based geographic datasets<\/strong>, whereas in the second, we will use <strong>raster data<\/strong> derived from <strong>Earth observation satellite imagery<\/strong>. These two cases are representative of the heterogeneity of sources in Geographic Information Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims to address several scientific challenges:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Automatic detection of changes<\/strong> while minimizing false positives due to variations in reference systems or data entry errors.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Precise description of changes<\/strong>, considering the vocabulary used by experts and their definition of the identity of the studied geographic entities to determine the thresholds that distinguish a transformation from the creation of a new entity.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Creation of ST-KGs<\/strong>, linking the studied entities and detected changes in a chronological order to reconstruct their trajectories over time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enrichment of the produced ST-KGs<\/strong> by searching the Web or LLMs for contextual elements that help better understand, explain, and validate the detected changes (causes\/pressures, date, geopolitical context, etc.).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Publication and dissemination of ST-KGs<\/strong> to a wide audience (experts, researchers, citizens) by developing <strong>natural language query tools<\/strong> based on <strong>LLMs<\/strong>, to avoid the use of <strong>SPARQL query language<\/strong>, and <strong>metrics to characterize changes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The major expected outcomes are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The creation and publication on <strong>the Linked Open Data Cloud<\/strong> of a generic ontology describing territorial changes, along with associated application ontologies applied to specific domains.<\/li>\n<li>A tool-supported methodology for detecting and describing territorial changes, leveraging the developed ontological models as well as conflation, change detection, and trend analysis algorithms from machine or deep learning.<\/li>\n<li>ST-KGs (enriched with information from other KGs or LLMs) describing territorial changes in the city of Grenoble and alpine pastures over the past decade. Published as Linked Open Data on the Web and based on the generic ontology, these ST-KGs will be queryable in natural language.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The <strong>GEvoK project<\/strong>, led by a <strong>young Computer Science researcher<\/strong>, brings together a <strong>multidisciplinary consortium<\/strong> of experts in Computer Science, <strong>Semantic Web, spatio-temporal information processing, and Geography<\/strong>, focusing on <strong>territorial changes and remote sensing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The project contributes to the <strong>Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong> by providing tools to <strong>better understand and anticipate territorial changes<\/strong>, particularly in connection with the <strong>fight against climate change<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h1>2024-2025 Projet de recherche <strong>DELTA<\/strong>, financement IRGA UGA &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Responsable du projet<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote style=\"text-align: justify\"><p>L\u2019objectif du projet DELTA est, \u00e0 partir de donn\u00e9es de t\u00e9l\u00e9d\u00e9tection, de caract\u00e9riser semi-automatiquement l\u2019\u00e9volution de la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation d\u2019un milieu, afin d\u2019aider les collectivit\u00e9s et les administrations publiques en charge de la pr\u00e9servation d\u2019espaces naturels ou forestiers, \u00e0 prendre des d\u00e9cisions concernant la gestion de leur territoire. Le projet DELTA propose l\u2019alliance des techniques de <strong>t\u00e9l\u00e9d\u00e9tection<\/strong>, d\u2019<strong>apprentissage automatique<\/strong> et des technologies du <strong>web s\u00e9mantique<\/strong> pour la conception d\u2019une m\u00e9thodologie innovante pour l\u2019annotation s\u00e9mantique et semi-automatique de s\u00e9ries temporelles de donn\u00e9es satellitaires, \u00e0 des temporalit\u00e9s fines. Le cas d\u2019application choisi est celui des <strong>alpages<\/strong> car le contr\u00f4le de la productivit\u00e9 d\u2019herbe y est capital afin d\u2019estimer les ressources fourrag\u00e8res disponibles pour les troupeaux. Les d\u00e9fis scientifiques du projet rel\u00e8vent de 1) la caract\u00e9risation fine de la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation puis, 2) la d\u00e9tection de changements dans les donn\u00e9es produites (p\u00e9rim\u00e8tres, hauteur d\u2019herbe, etc.) en adaptant des algorithmes existants (BFAST, CCDC, TSN SMA), 3) la constitution de vocabulaires ad\u00e9quats \u00e0 la description de ces changements et enfin 4) l\u2019enrichissement s\u00e9mantique et contextuel des trajectoires de v\u00e9g\u00e9tation produites.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h1>2023-2025 Projets de recherche Cap2Vie et Par2Vie (CIST)<\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote style=\"text-align: justify\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/eso.cnrs.fr\/en\/node\/23987\">Cap2Vie &#8211; Collecte et Analyse de Parcours de Vie<\/a><\/p>\n<p>En associant l\u2019exp\u00e9rience des chercheur\u00b7es et ing\u00e9nieur\u00b7es de recherche d\u2019ESO et de l\u2019Institut National d\u2019\u00c9tudes D\u00e9mographiques (Ined) sur ces enqu\u00eates aux innovations informatiques port\u00e9es par des chercheur\u00b7es et enseignant\u00b7es-chercheur\u00b7es des STIC du Laboratoire d\u2019Informatique de Grenoble, le projet CAP2Vie a l\u2019ambition de r\u00e9pondre aux difficult\u00e9s rencontr\u00e9es actuellement dans l\u2019\u00e9laboration des enqu\u00eates portant sur les <em>Histoires de vie<\/em> par la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un nouveau dispositif informatis\u00e9 de recueil par questionnaire des donn\u00e9es biographiques.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cist.cnrs.fr\/projets-exploratoires\/parcours-de-vie-et-territoires-collecte-et-analyse\/\">Par2Vie \u2013 Parcours de vie et territoires. Collecte et analyse<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ce projet traite des probl\u00e9matiques li\u00e9es \u00e0 la collecte et \u00e0 l\u2019exploitation (extraction, enrichissement, analyse) de donn\u00e9es sur les parcours de vie en lien avec les territoires. Il s\u2019appuie sur une collaboration interdisciplinaire initi\u00e9e lors du colloque du CIST de 2020. Son ambition est d\u2019apporter des solutions innovantes et op\u00e9rationnelles, en associant le savoir-faire des chercheur\u2027es en informatique en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9laboration de mod\u00e8les et de d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019applications \u00e0 l\u2019expertise des chercheur\u2027es en SHS sur les enqu\u00eates relatives aux parcours de vie.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h1>2022-2025 Projet de recherche <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/traces-anr-fns.imag.fr\/\">TRACES<\/a><\/strong>, PRCI ANR &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Responsable WP2<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote style=\"text-align: justify\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/anr.fr\/Projet-ANR-21-CE23-0034\">https:\/\/anr.fr\/Projet-ANR-21-CE23-0034<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The TRACES project aims to enable the modelling and analysis of the environmental trajectories of territories, based on three areas of Artificial Intelligence. An environmental trajectory will be defined by a study territory, an observation period, and a set of indicators characterising this trajectory, which is multidimensional (space, time, theme) and multi-granular in nature. Several types of environmental trajectories will be proposed and considered.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h1>2020-2021 Projet de recherche <strong>Mimesis<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote style=\"text-align: justify\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/mimesisere.hypotheses.org\/\">https:\/\/mimesisere.hypotheses.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Le projet exploratoire, MIMESIS s\u2019int\u00e9resse, entre autres, aux questions de repr\u00e9sentation de la nature et du vivant, de la m\u00e9diation scientifique et du num\u00e9rique, des sciences participatives et du collectif, du r\u00f4le et des postures des diff\u00e9rents acteurs (Mus\u00e9ums, associations, collectivit\u00e9s, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>Projet financ\u00e9 par l&#8217;Agence Nationale de la Recherche au titre du programme \u201cInvestissement d\u2019avenir\u201d portant la r\u00e9f\u00e9rence ANR-15-IDEX-02.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>2021-2022 Projet de recherche <strong>Terriscope<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote style=\"text-align: justify\"><p>Le projet vise \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper une application d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019observation et \u00e0 la caract\u00e9risation de l\u2019\u00e9volution de l\u2019occupation des sols \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle communale fran\u00e7aise &#8211; en particulier \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude des changements de nature des sols gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la base de donn\u00e9es g\u00e9ographiques Corine Land Cover (ou CLC).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h1>2020-2022 Projet de valorisation <strong>GeoChange &#8211; Responsable du projet<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote style=\"text-align: justify\"><p>Financ\u00e9 par la SATT Linksium. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linksium.fr\/projets\/geochange\">https:\/\/www.linksium.fr\/projets\/geochange<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Le projet GeoChange vise \u00e0 faire \u00e9voluer, distribuer et commercialiser un logiciel nomm\u00e9 Theseus. Theseus est destin\u00e9 \u00e0 toute entreprise, organisme, collectivit\u00e9, association, etc., plus g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement tout producteur et\/ou utilisateur de donn\u00e9es g\u00e9ographiques de type d\u00e9coupage territorial (en r\u00e9gions, d\u00e9partements, communes, quartiers, secteurs, etc.) qui se trouve confront\u00e9 au probl\u00e8me de l\u2019\u00e9volution au cours du temps de ces donn\u00e9es. Theseus permet la ma\u00eetrise de l\u2019\u00e9volution de ces donn\u00e9es g\u00e9ographiques.<br \/>\nLe projet na\u00eet du constat que partout dans le monde, les d\u00e9coupages g\u00e9ographiques (par exemple des d\u00e9coupages en r\u00e9gions, d\u00e9partements, communes, mais aussi parcelles cadastrales, zones scolaires ou secteurs de sant\u00e9) sont fr\u00e9quemment soumis \u00e0 des modifications : de nom, d\u2019affiliation, de fronti\u00e8res, etc. Ces changements sont un obstacle patent \u00e0 la comparabilit\u00e9 des donn\u00e9es socio-\u00e9conomiques mesur\u00e9es sur ces d\u00e9coupages g\u00e9ographiques changeant au cours du temps, celle-ci n\u2019\u00e9tant possible qu\u2019\u00e0 la condition d\u2019estimer les donn\u00e9es dans un m\u00eame d\u00e9coupage g\u00e9ographique, un processus compliqu\u00e9 qui finit par masquer les changements territoriaux. D\u00e8s lors, des solutions conceptuelles et op\u00e9rationnelles sont n\u00e9cessaires pour \u00eatre en mesure de repr\u00e9senter et de g\u00e9rer diff\u00e9rentes versions de d\u00e9coupages g\u00e9ographiques, ainsi que leur \u00e9volution dans le temps, dans le contexte du Web des Donn\u00e9es Ouvertes.
