Scroller Component

Your browser don't support Java.
You can download a new browser from Netscapeor Microsoft

Scroller Component can be used to display vertical or horizontal scrolling text with hyperlinks. It can be used to scroll text/image combinations and play an .au file on mouseover. Still not satisfied? Then use it for panoramic views! All in one applet! Highly configurable.

Author's Notes:
The canvas is sensitive to the speed of the mouse when dragging, and if the mouse button is released while dragging, the canvas will continue to scroll for a while, depending of the speed the mouse has when the button was released. It is therefore possible to "throw" the canvas in a sudden direction.

How To Use:

  • Download scroller14.zip (406 KB)
  • Unzip with a compression utility.

Keld Hansen gives a quick intro to Struts, covering the necessary details to make it possible to build a simple one-page example containing an HTML form. In Part 2 Keld will refine the example to show additional features of Struts.

    Download of the Week
    TF_Slices
A whole new twist on slide-show transitions. TF_Slices doesn't fade, wave, or warp but rather slices your image into narrow strips, gives them a swirl and re-assembles the pieces as a new image. Cool!
