Les objectifs scientifiques \u00e9taient d\u2019approfondir les th\u00e9ories de la d\u00e9cision et du raisonnement contextuel, mais aussi de reconnaissance de signaux complexes, \u00e9ventuellement dans un environnement sonore perturb\u00e9. Il s\u2019agissait en particulier de mettre en \u0153uvre et d\u2019adapter des techniques sophistiqu\u00e9es de traitement du signal (d\u00e9r\u00e9verb\u00e9ration, s\u00e9paration des sources, \u2026) et des algorithmes de reconnaissance automatique du signal sonore, \u00e0 des sons de la vie courante pour aider \u00e0 d\u00e9tecter, identifier et interpr\u00e9ter des situations de d\u00e9tresse. Le dispositif, bas\u00e9 sur une technologie de capteurs enti\u00e8rement \u00e0 transmission sans fil, prenait place au sein d\u2019un habitat dit \u00ab\u00a0intelligent\u00a0\u00bb install\u00e9 \u00e0 la Facult\u00e9 de M\u00e9decine de Grenoble.
