INRIA Grenoble organizes the first winter school on Hot Topics in Distributed Computing. This winter school will take place in La Plagne, a french ski resort, from March 9th to March 14th 2008.This winter school will give the opportunity to researchers and PhD students to attend talks and discuss hot topics in distributed computing, from both a theoretical and a practical perspective. Topics that will be covered by the school include P2P systems, sensor networks, transactional memory, large-scale publish/subscribe systems, byzantine-tolerant algorithms, etc.
PhD students working in a french lab: ASF sponsors a grant to attend the school.
The school is sponsored by ASF (the french chapter of ACM SIGOPS), EuroSys (the european chapter of ACM SIGOPS) and INRIA.
